Rolli's Palaces (UNESCO site) and Genoa Aquarium

Genoa's Middle Ages city center is the biggest in Europe, part of UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The old city is rich in thick “caruggi” (little lanes), historical palaces, beautiful squares and churches and the Rolli's palaces, the most prestigious buildings, owned by all the genoese aristocracy and located around the old "New Roads" (Via Garibaldi and Via Balbi).
The Aquarium, one of the largest in Europe, hosts more than 500 kinds of different fishes in 59 basins between amazing cold sea, tropical sea, Mediterranean and sweet water pools.
In 1988 the City of Genoa employed the famous architect Renzo Piano to reconstruct the Porto Antico, the old Genoese seaport for the Expo '92 Genova, celebrating 500 years since American discovery.
